YAKIMA offers a menu with locally inspired ingredients influenced by Aboriginal, Asian and North American cuisine.

Our mixology essentials are inspired by our handcrafted beverage program that is influenced by Aboriginal, Asian and North American features. This is complemented by our Bourbon Program, distinctive wine on tap, an all Canadian craft beer collection and locally sourced spirits.

Designed to feel and operate as a “destination restaurant,” the restaurant seeks to be a culinary destination for locals and travelers alike. Combining a modern, global approach with the breadth of quality products available in Alberta, Yakima is proud of its house-made signatures and sustainable partnerships with local farmers and artisans.

THE TEAM

Curtis Stachnik

Curtis Stachnik is our General Manager of YAKIMA Social Kitchen + Bar. He has ten years’ experience with premium casual dining establishments. He has opened and launched multiple venues including a cocktail bar in Australia. A native to the Calgary area Curtis grew up on a farm and values hard work and fresh ingredients. While his passion is the hospitality industry he spent multiple years as a paramedic which taught him to live life to its fullest. Unwinding at home after a busy day you can catch him savoring a Negroni.

 

Kai Cronsfoth

Our executive chef Kai Cronsfoth originally from Germany, started his career in 2001 in his hometown of Bad Neuenahr – Ahrweiler, Germany.  Progressive positions in restaurants and hotel kitchens from Europe to the Caribbean have provided Kai the foundation for a bright future in the culinary world. Kai’s menus are inspired by local ingredients and global cuisines. No stranger to fine dining he has worked in Michelin starred restaurants and delights in presenting dishes that will challenge diners. He has prepared elegant culinary creations for Royalty and Celebrities. Kai is now making his North American debut in Calgary, Alberta.
